Restrained Goddess
My body, they say, a temple,
A temple of my soul,
Yet it doesn't resemble,
When degraded as a whole.

They gave me the role of a Goddess,
And threw me to the crown height,
Yet, a hand restricts my voice,
When I try to question my right.

I was taught to keep my mouth shut,
And was reminded to never meet their eye,
Because if I do so,
I wouldn't be an ideal girl, peaceful and shy.

Oh I was no Goddess,
I pretty soon realised,
They used me, abused me,
And filled me with lies.

But even if they take my voice away,
My pen will still flow,
And if there never comes another day,
My ink will continue to glow!
