Yellow Brick Road
I listened to my heart as I followed the yellow brick road,
but when I got to emerald City I realized the magic wasn't real,
that people break your heart and take your soul to steal,
flying monkey were my demons that sang me songs to sleep,
in the dark, I trusted the wicked witch who fed me leaps of faith,
But I found out they were stories,
from the munchkins across the lake.
She wanted my ruby slippers,
she promised to keep them safe,
As she poisoned my soul with darkness,
She even dug me up a grave.
The cowardly lion warned me,
The tin man said to use my brain,
The scarecrows chased away the birds,
tried to save me from the pain.
I didn't want to listen,
the magic man I lust,
but of course I should've figured,
I'm the only one to trust.
