Nothing beats the comforting scent,
Of coffee in the morning,
That first sip from your first mug,
Whilst around you, the day is dawning.
There's really nothing better,
Than a boost to start your day,
The caffeine rushes through your veins,
Whilst contemplating what's in store today.
The first sip tastes oh so sweet,
As your feel the warmth take hold,
And coffee without milk and sugar,
Simply tastes like liquid gold.
I often sit upon the porch,
Whilst admiring the view,
For such a perfect backdrop,
It's the complimentary brew.
