Would I be Cruel?
When I'm bedecked in blooming marigold
And loved more than I ever was in life...
When I let go of the broken body I hold
And surrender to sadness and strife...
Would I be cruel, my angel
If I wanted you to cry
To drain those dazzling eyes
The day I die?
I am not a gracious spirit with a heart of gold
Nor am I a selfless soul unstained by sin...
But spare some sorrow, my angel uncold
For scum streaked with scars on her skin...
Would I be cruel, my angel
If I wanted you to cry
To drain those dazzling eyes
The day I die?
