ETERNAL PUNISHMENT
Sizzling and crackling all around,
When did he get here? He couldn't recall.
Magnificent shades of orange and red,
Try as he might, naught remember at all.
Stifling heat, he could barely breathe
With flames reaching through from cracks in the ground.
Rivers of molten lava were plenty
Heart beating faster as he looked around.

The stench of smoke, such a pungent smell
Something in it didn't smell quite right.
As his eyes focused in on the god-damned scene,
He was horrified at this awful sight.
Piercing screams, such a deafening sound
Blood curdling pleads was all he could hear.
The sound of torture drowned out by cries,
He cowered at the sound, frozen in fear.

It was blood he could smell, and burning flesh
That thought alone drove his mind insane.
Torn limb by limb, the screams so loud
Will his fate eventually end up the same?
Surrounded by flames, he was scared and parched
Alone and afraid...
