Queen Of The Desert
The Queen of the desert stands like a myth
In all her opulence and sagely pomp
Over a landscape of sandcastles and rock
An emblem of a promised land
And nomadic hunters pay their tribute
By the altars of the rain dancers
Fierce coyotes bark loud her praises
And howl before the pregnant moon
For in the desert empire of the Queen
All the hunters, pilgrims and saints
Sing of her wisdom to the stars
throughout the precincts of her darkly habitat
