A Hatred of Love
I hate the concept of love,
But maybe it's just my fear,
Of watching others fall in love,
While I am left to disappear.
I envy those who hold hands,
And gaze into each other's eyes,
While I am left alone to stand,
And try to hide my lonely cries.
But maybe it's not hate I feel,
But a longing deep inside,
For someone to love and to be real,
A connection I cannot hide.
