My Resolution
Christmas has gone once again
And before us is a brand new year
Some feeling that it's bitter, sweet
Because our children can't be here
I've never been one to make resolutions
But this year will be a different one
I want to rid the pain in my heart
And think about good memories with my son!
The memories in my heart will never be erased
It's what is helping to get me through
And knowing that my husband and son are forever free
I'll see them again as this is true!
It's been so hard to live year after year
Knowing I'll have to wait to see my loved ones
But I know that life down here is short
And one day it will be done!
I'm thinking about a beautiful place
That awaits me and brings me joy
Because my tears will be wiped away
And I'll be reunited with my boy!
