As this is my shame.....
I feel so empty
Yet I feel so much pain.....
I am beyond exhausted
And no longer sane.....
There is no fight left in me
I can't be something I'm not.....
I've tried and tried harder
Losing more the harder I fought.....
I've wished things were different
But wishes don't come true.....
So I'm facing my reality
Trying to accept the view.....
Don't turn this on yourself
You are not the cause.....
It's not from lack of love
My happiness was not your clause.....
I'm sorry it came to this
I'm sorry for my mistakes.....
It took me too long to realize
What living truly takes.....
The love I gave was real
I loved with all I had.....
Please remember me for that
And forgive me for the bad.....
It is my time to go
It's been too long delayed.....
I've known this for a while now
I promise though, this pain will fade.....
Think of me and smile
I'm not hurting anymore.....
My heart is now at peace
I am done fighting in this war.....
