Fleeting ray of sunlight,
as you lastly held my hand,
giving meaning to this long wait.
You smiled, the innocence in your eyes still exists,
your lips as small as they are, still holding on to each kiss we’ve shared.
Each caress thought-out for your departure.
As we take steps further from one another,
slowly loosing each moment our souls have shared,
your scent drifts with the air which leaves your presents,
taunting my peacefulness.
The colour of each star we’ve seen loses its brightness,
The sky baths my tears in darkness,
Hiding the shame which my eyes reveal.
The moon now shares my sorrows,
Wiping each heartache with beauty, as it radiates it uniqueness.
Pouring out its last straws.
The long walk which starts with your step,
Slowly fades with each moment of regret with tears as witness.
My hands left your,
As your softness leaves with grace from my reach.
