long driving into
too much thinking

bearings breaking
until I can
finally
clear out
my cobwebs

asking for a lot
expecting
not enough

knowing God is watching
sweating bullets
hoping for
the right stuff

saw my soul inspired
demons dreaming
cramming locks

can't afford the questions
ever bound
to finally
see the sun

just as proud as getting home
candles burning
safely screaming

with a bit of ember
every darkness
has a knowing glow

pray for them to find protection
and incinerate
insidious

left me reeling
empty heart is screaming
for a second of

I miss you

and a bit of

serpentine continuum

slept upon my chest
and now I rest
without them
