*The weight of words*
#WritcoPoemChallenge
As far as a letter goes,
It was nondescript,
The message it carried was sinister
In ink so dark, like shadows cast,
Each word a whisper, a haunting past,
Secrets lingered in every line,
A warning cloaked, a fragile sign.
With trembling hands, I broke the seal,
What truth lay hidden, what fate to reveal?
A chilling tale of love gone wrong,
A melody of sorrow, a dissonant song.
The ink bled tears on the fragile page,
A heart once free, now trapped in a cage,
The sender unknown, a ghost from the void,
Their pain and anger, forever deployed.
So heed this letter, its weight profound,
For in the silence, true danger is found,
In words unspoken, in thoughts that stir,
Beware the shadows that silently blur.
