Time of the Shadows
Sometimes in life we wish we were lied to,
Life would be a lot sweeter without the truth
A simple truth can cause depression and grief
The past is in the past but yet it comes to haunt us
Here I am standing in a corner alone
Well at least I thought I was
But I realised all my demons never left
The truth is bitter but its necessary
I prefer to know my demons and stare at them eyeball to eyeball rather than live happily without knowing what lurks in the shadows
