my cat
Alice was her name,
From the east she came.
A swift claw,
And a soft paw.

I found her eating a mouse,
Behind my house.
I left a bowl of milk for her,
She lapped it up with a pur.

I looked into those eyes,
So in love I wanted to cry.
I picked her up and held her tight,
She could snuggle on my bed tonight.
