To Her
#MothersDayPoem
The fragrance of my childhood,
Hides in the folds of your embrace,
The joy of my little heart
Held tightly in your wide arms
How could I ever forget
The wonder you bring to my life
Or the melody you bring to my lips
In experience I grow
In wisdom I increase
In strength I grow
Yet in love
All I'll ever know you thought me
From your screams at childbirth
To your rebukes and corrections
You spared nothing
In teaching me love
To her
A wonderful epitome of love
Which I must leave but never forget
The fragrance of my childhood,
Hides in the folds of your embrace,
The joy of my little heart
Held tightly in your wide arms
How could I ever forget
The wonder you bring to my life
Or the melody you bring to my lips
In experience I grow
In wisdom I increase
In strength I grow
Yet in love
All I'll ever know you thought me
From your screams at childbirth
To your rebukes and corrections
You spared nothing
In teaching me love
To her
A wonderful epitome of love
Which I must leave but never forget
