“He sees me”
I see him standing there,
He’s watching me,
He’s waiting.
I can feel my hand shaking.
He’s come for me this time.

No one will come look for me.
I can die in peace tonight,
Under the moonlight.
I see him take a step toward me,
Should I flee?

There’s still time.
But it’s ticking fast.
Is this the end?
I meet his gaze,
His eyes are cold.
His soul seems old.

I am going to die this time.
Alone and unknown.
Forever unknown.
Because I was never fine.

I’ve found comfort in the dark in all my time under the living.
I’ve spent my life dreaming,
But I’m tired of giving,
Giving time,
As if it is a crime to die.

It’s okay to be selfish.
I’m no longer scared,
Of being nothing.
I look up at him, our thoughts are shared.
No one knew me while I was alive, maybe they’ll care once I’m dead,
And then they’ll forget.

He’s still watching, waiting.
He’s quiet just like I was, all my life.
There’s no hiding from death.
He knows when it’s right.

He will carry away my soul,
And free me from my suffering.
And I will thank him for saving me,
When my spirit finally goes free.
