The sun rises and sets everyday like clock
Work a 9-5 an 8-5 even a 7-5 to stay alive
drive to work to help pay for the gas just
so we can drive to work. Like clockwork

The clock tick tocks so slow & we know
Our ticks talk us into watching the hands
work against us because time moves sand
In n hourglass as we vent & the therapist

Works. after work she has n appointment
With his therapist. She has for years, like
Clockwork he works hard as a therapist
to pay for therapy. Working jerks we are

To ourselves for allowing this hell to be
engulfed, entrenched, ingrained & I see
The time on the clock reads 5 past free
Im late once again for what's best for me

Almost like clockwork
