Starving
How starved I have become,
That tears fail to quench,
These crimson eyes seek,
Your silhouette in every room,
In every whisper of the wind,
In every shadow that descends,
I search for you in vain,
My heart broken in ways it can't mend,
In every beat, your absence rings,
In every shard, your picture clings,
A symphony of sorrow it sings,
A melody of loss and despair,
Leaving an emptiness beyond compare.
