I saw it falling apart
Being broken down
Pieces by pieces
Part by part
Didn't happen overnight though
Took days and months and years
But then it finally was turned to ruins
The last straw was drawn and
It finally caved in, collapsed
And was crumbled to dust
May be the foundation was too weak
Or the supporting pillars weren't strong enough
Or may be there were too many mistakes, faults
And now nothing remains
As if it was all just a dream
Or should I call it a nightmare
Painful and disturbing
Difficult and unbearable
Which still hounds me
With it's memories
In the process of the destruction
I was wounded too
Shattered and broken
Bruised and bled
Multiple times
I fought till the end.
For to me it belonged
Or so I thought it to be
But finally I realised
Your heart was not my home
