If only time wasnt exhausting
We would still be laughing
In the smokey low lit room
Half filled beer glasses
Staring at half closed eyes
Wonder what life want from us
To keep directing paths
So far from each other
Someday we might hardly miss
The company we once seeked
And when that day comes

Unmiss at the same time
Someone else is in our room
Growing stories we aren't part of
This must be what dying feels like
To see the world keep going
