She is a Fortress
She is soft as velvet,

She is lush,

She will always be,

My biggest crush.

She is lone like the wolf,

In her own company,

Strong.

But her burrow is in my heart,

Where she always belongs.

She often feels lost,

In her own little world .

Just as often as I admit,

I am intrigued by this girl.

She is an enigma,

She is a mysterious creature,

She is the perfect creation,

With perfect features.

She is my greatest loss,

But also my greatest victory,

I had to give her my heart,

And wait for her to give hers to me.

She is quiet,

She is solemn,

She won't be tamed by you or me.

She is a fortress with high walls,

For which I've already swam across the sea.

Not here to lay siege,

Nor here to start war.

Merely here to pay tribute,

To the promises made before.

She is her own prisoner,

Locked high in her tower,

Pretending to be free.

Unbeknownst that soon,

She'll be swimming away with me.
