I decided a long time ago that
I will ever be by your side;
listening to you,
attending to my heart's chimes,
much through all the hard times;
I wonder, where are you now?
I'm here on my bed,
trying to gaze past my window;
the familiar moon, few friendly stars, the dim ether and me;
tuning in to the mellifluous songs,
seeking to doze,
my puny attempts and me;
Where are you now?
I'll endeavour to walk past
our moments, our times;
you and me,
your voice, your laughter,
your touch, and the warmth..
