Candle light dinner
The matchstick ignited the candle that shines,
Illuminating their room of mirth.
The four stone walls now a home,
Enclosing their love and youth.

She sits in a red dress bedazzled with pearls,
Thoughts unspoken her eyes express.
Her delicate fingers twirl her curls,
As she cherishes the moments they spent.

He fidgets with his suit's long sleeves,
Losing himself in the embrace of her charm.
Unable to express how he feels,
His crimson face hides behind his stiff arms.

The candle's flame persists, shining like a star in the sky,
Its flare is one the greatest winds could not blow.
It stands on the table spreading love and joy,
As the lovers eat in silence.
