Sonnet: If i could write the beauty of your essence
If I could write the beauty of your essence,
And recount the impact of those special smiles,
Fore-ages would desire the past of your presence,
With the pen dumb to the knowledge of your profile.
It's no wonder the earth greatly rejoiced at your birth,
Chanting to the maker in divinely Psalm,
Even in awe, nature doth declare your worth,
Thus making your presence to the heart a special balm.
How heavy I journeyed in this pathway,
Searching along for so perfect a lovely soul,
Until you I discovered in this undefined holiday,
O beautiful daughter of Sir Eric, so graciously bestowed,
Thou art more lovely and more temperate to be compared,
Than the pen of this poor poet be properly prepared.
