people often blame God
But God is not at fault
people often ask, why me
why can't God come down
and make things right for me

people are free to choose
right or wrong, they choose
but there is one thing
people cannot choose,
the consequences

Eve, beguiled by the serpent
ate the fruit, Adam chose to eat
God did not change their fate
consequences, became mortal
and was led out of Eden

So it is with us today
right and wrong dangle before us
do we choose right, or wrong,
the consequences await us
our choosings, we sing the song
