Broken promise
When you left me alone,
Life,from me, had long gone.
From a flower in full bloom
To funeral home gloom.

I thought it was the end
for-how shall I exist without my friend?
Tears became my solace,
Sparkling jewels in a dark promise.

Time flies and sorrow fades,
And all become empty charades.
Life goes on, for it must,
Man shall too, till he's dust.

Like a glorious trick, we shall end
Become a story to the ears they lend.
"Bittersweet" they'll say, "How pleasant!",
Only to us, the truth ever transparent.
