As far as a letter goes,

It was nondescript,

The message it carried was sinister,

As it was from the soldier's canister,

Carries the emotions of a man,

who stood in front of bullet rain

Fought in still pain and then rests,

As the blood drained from the veins,

Said to Sargent

"Send his letter from the canister

Placed next to the shoe duster

To Susan,

lives in the mountain near the

big city fountain

with the little Ben."

Slept to never wake up again.

The Sargent found the letter

in the canister placed next

to the shoe duster.
