when I was at war there were explosions all around
my hearing has been affected and I often miss on sounds
when I was at war there were often deaths
people who were close friends taking their last breath
when I was at war there was wounded all around
people were clinging to life everywhere and all around
when I was at war there was rifles, bombs , grenades
missles, tanks and war machine filled outdoor arcades
except that they held no fun
when I was at war I felt my heart rolling in my chest
my throat was tight and I constantly felt stress
now Ive returned from war
the ghosts are following
my dreams are nightmares
I still have problems swallowing
my throat is still tight
a minor crash and I'm back in the war
and nothing is alright
I didn't want to fight
my country made me
all so they could cash in on the stupid arcades of war
bullets and guns and tanks galore
they make a lot of dough
uncle Sam would give his bravest and most promising for a trillion
he would push them out of planes
saying it's for America! now go!
