When my girlfriend left to go to London
It tears the heart from my chest
And for a very long time, it hurts like hell
My life was kind of a melting mess

Sometimes I would go to work
And my friends would come to have lunch with me under a tree
And when they ask “are you crying there, bro”
I would say no man “it's allergies

But deep inside I am missing her
And allergies make a good excuse to cover
And I have used it many more times
as I slowly learn to cope with the pain of losing her

Sometimes I feel the world falling on me
And I am crushing and can't break free
And if anyone should notice my silent misery
I would say " man this darn allergy,

Sometimes I try to put up a good fight
Even if it means staying up all hours of the night
But when I give up and let the alcohol get the better of me
I just take another drink and its good for the allergies

Like everyone else I had a dream
To hold success in my hands
But some are born with golden spoons
And some people's dream dont always go as plan

You can try the best that you could
But you are not sure to get the bucket off the floor
And then for some people, the world is so easy
They got it delivered to their door

And when it gets to be too much
And you find yourself on your knees
You can look at the birds in the trees
And blame your tears on allergies

Allergies take the blame for a lot of things that we do
A sneeze in public or a simple cough
You just say it's allergies
That would be enough

When I think of the girl that I love
She now lives somewhere without me
We thought we would last forever
But that wasn't meant to be

I can still remember when she told me
She had her plane ticket to England
I couldn’t ask them to give up her dreams
So I just let go of her hand

Life had been taught since then
I learn to make it through the day just for the salary
And when I am down and my eyes look red
I tell myself and anyone around its just the allegories
