Your Former School
Have you ever visited your former school,
You know that place you were taught to be useful,
And not end up a fool,
That place that cemented your early years,
And gave you your first friends,
Yeah, your former school,
Have you ever visited it after you left.

Well I have,
And this is my experience.

I stepped on the grass,
Mind you I had sass,
So I sashayed round,
Ignored the students' frown,
I didn't give a damn,
Cause I knew they would blab,
Form stories that won't rhyme,
To see who has the best line.

If you visit your former school,
You automatically become a celebrity,
To be gawked or mocked,
By children you once flogged.

You, on your own part,
Become extremely shy,
Cause you got the memo,
You are about to be judged,
By children you once taught,

And no matter how stern you become,
Or playful you adopt,
You can't tell these children,
"Hey, come here, are you stupid or dumb."

I know all these,
Cause it was once my stuff,
Now karma has caught up,
While playing its song.
