Can You Feel What I Feel?
I can feel what you feel,
Mental and physical.
No, I cannot heal,
I know, you're skeptical.
I am the living definition
Of the word, "empathy".
I can hear your thoughts,
And feel your hurt.
It ties my stomach in knots,
When I cannot comfort.
Won't find me in any crowds,
Or in a room full of folks,
As it is much too loud.
No, this is not a hoax!
It's a blessing and a curse,
At times, it don't get much worse.
It can be hard for me to know,
If the pain I feel is my own.
"Is it really me feeling low?"
I have asked as I've grown.
Luckily, I am not the only one.
There are loads of us "Empaths".
Some don't know, and they run.
