A solitary Revolution
Why must we wear two faces, she ponders deep,
In silent despair her soul begins to weep.
Through others storm she'd faithfully tread,
But in her darkest hours, alone she's led.

Why revel in the pain that others bear,
Her trust in others, she can no longer share.
Friendship, once cherished, now fills her with dread,
Forced connections, she's no longer misled.

Tired of mending what is already broken,
She finds the strength to leave the words unspoken.
Sharing secrets only leads to their spread,
An old friends are discarded,as new one's are wed.

"I'm weary of being an afterthought",
She whispers,
Well-acquainted with darkness that prevails,
She learns to find solace where loneliness dwells.

Validation from others, she no longer needs,
A smile on her lips, her soul finally freed.
She finds happiness within her solitude,
Her worth,her identity,she now imbued.
