Remembering
Seeping warmth
silent laughter
spurring light
colours too bright
to have me
deprived of sight
The blaring telly
like long winter nights
flickering snowflakes
the darker, the heavier
upon my eyes
melting into tears
of the mind
A feast devoured
too soon
to last
a statue polished
too often
to feel
To reflexively
move a lost arm
only to grasp at thin air
to take a train
only to realize
your destination was gone
What remains
the screaming
gunshots against my ribs
the kisses in the wind
such gentle pain
heat long lost in distance
the unraveling of time
