Every time I open my mouth I Lie
when you ask me a question I lie
I lie when I'm happy
lie when I'm sad

I lie because the truth hurts more
because my own insecurities hurt more
I cannot tell a truth
I cannot witness the disillusion leave your eyes

Believing that all is well I walk forth
Believing that you will stay I carry on
My own disillusionment working against
me

I lie because no one has told me
that it's enough
No one has told me that I can stop
No one has offered me rest.
