A blue day of totally avoidable gloom..
As I scrolled through the various
social media apps, blame it on me
being curious
I learnt of the many things a great many 'friends' and 'relatives' did
They were grand , luxurious,so enviable that I felt like a trapped bird,
all caged up, miserable, yearning to preen like them
and then thoughts of sorrow and misery filled up my heart and mind,
Tears filled up in my eyes, however hard I tried,
I couldn't stop the heaviness of my heart so I cried..
I feel better when I write them out,
my advice to my self is never let curiosity get the better of you
or you'd pay a heavy price
dealing with the worst of you!!
