For the search for a mate is set in stone
Every coming and going the flock matures
Of the breeze in the alcove has heart strings teased
Alone or with another birds come in
Greeted again the whispering of tears
Torn up pages of imaged dear
One day it will be no coming or going
It will be there and you will have to check in!
