Chain Letter

As far as a letter goes,
It was nondescript,
The message it carried was sinister,
Made her heart do a flop and a flip.
If she didn't send cash money,
To the name at the tippity top,
A disaster would likely happen,
Keep it going, do not let it stop.
So she sat down at the table,
Counted out her meager coins,
Addressed a single envelope,
And the chain now she did join.
So, to Mr. Stanley Smithfield,
On 123 Washington Street,
Nothing bad shall come to you,
The Devil you have beat!
