A Motherly Mother's Day
In the darkest of nights a dream I see,
A far off house where none can be.
Knocking the door I stare with glee.
To find my mother standing by me.

She who held me both tight and strong,
Her teachings they clouded over my wrong.
A rhythm she added to my lost song,
A journey of memories we covered so long.

To my mother who worked so hard I know,
To that woman who struggled to see me grow.
To that shelter who hid me in rain and snow.
To that angel who faded to see me glow.

To bring me smiles her eyes held rain,
I was the witness of her solitude pain.
Today when I walk this memory lane,
I realise what treasuries in life I gain.

Her heart is my home in which I stay,
She's the goddess to whom I pray.
A potter she was and my mind a clay.
She made me a star to shine all day.

But it seems my fate had to plan this play,
My mother I lost on this motherly day.

To you my mother who's no longer near,
I wake up late with a sorrowful fear.
You joined the stars by giving me tear,
But my heart you own forever my dear.

In the loving memory of my beloved Mother.
