Bound Yesterday
#WritcoPoemPrompt48
Write a poem about a time that your illusions of someone or something were shattered.

It was dusk
I will not forget
You left me alone,
in the vacant lot
Without  light
and very dark
Trembling with fear
Asking for help
Where is your conscience?
My hands are tied!
Weakening and almost fainting,
Fortunately,
There is someone to support,
He drove me sitting and feeding
on bread, and untied
The ropes in my hands.

You come home again
and was surprised
that I was there
You may be wondering
Why the rope was untied
How did I survived
In my hands the marks are visible
The madness in you can't control
Because of your shamelessness
You hurt me merciless

I'm tired I can't understand
Forgiving has no meaning
And here you are begging
Again and again
Sorry means nothing
Thank you for being
bound in the past
Here I am now free at last

Because you are
still bound of our past.
