A Simple Life
A quiet and somber afternoon,
Gazing at the cotton clouds,
As they fill the deep blue sky,
Lush leaves basking in the sun,
Sitting comfortably on an oak chair
Admiring the little things in life,
For the seemingly mundane,
Becomes joyous when appreciated,
The smell of earth and soil,
Teeming with life in every direction,
Simple joys and pleasures,
Is enough for a simple man like me,
As the sun lays to rest,
I reminisce in it's soft faint glow,
Thinking to myself,
Today was a nice day.
