Brain Freeze
I feel a surge, an electric adamant streak,
lips stop moving.
My body freezes. Yet I feel so alive.
In the distance I see a rider on a flaming horse
Riding through an effervescent mist.
A noose hangs loosely in his hand, a mild sarcasm playing on the mask he wears.
The vividity is astounding, as the mist starts to lift.
The decay starts to set in, and the crevice widens.
As I try to breathe, the air is pungent
Inexplicably vibrant, like a thousand anorexic roses
Blossoming under a dying star,
As my mind collapses,
The imagery scathes my mind,
The scars presenting to no one,
But the unfortunate bearer of a tortured mind.
