Dead Laughter
Oh! My heart cried in torrent of torment.
Why hear a lie?
Should a lovable soul not giggle disgustingly?
Je ne sais quoi, as I think my shadow to be.
I will defy this laughter.

I buried my moment to its dent of rent,
Mute I remained under this Darling, dark deceit.
That besought me more misery.
I had worn this dead laughter.

I wanted to laugh,
I wanted to humour my garment.
Yet, I dined in solitude and sorrow.
Even if side- splitting comes to aid,
My laughter is ugly.

Your sentiment gabbled;
When my heart needed it.
I had seen much of your deceitful joy.
I shall wear none of this hopeless gaiety.

You knew my skill in erecting tact.
Yet, your worries carried you away.
I won't die in stoicism.
This laughter hath jiggery- Pokery.

Why hear a lie?
It's with counterfeited glee,
I embraced it.
A stony heart I bear now.
I won't laugh even if my ears hear sounds of an Xylophone.

You concealed joie de vivre from me.
I am not a soul of namby- pamby.
Let this ugly humour come wear laughter on my pretty pimples face.
Let this ugly, forsaken laughter jolly to my Lilly.

Even if I hear jibe, more jaundiced.
My laughter is dead.
I had learnt to sour my face,
Since you carved tata.
For you had made me so.
I endear my dead laughter.
