to you
There you stand, all alone, in a land so bleak,
Cold and harsh, yet it's paradise you seek
From afar, a haven, lush and wide,
But up close, it's desolation where you reside.

With grand dreams, you left, leaving me to pine,
Believing that distant land could hold you like I'm inclined—
To keep you warm through the solitary nights,
Yet here I stand, listening to your distant fights.

The winds are messengers, carrying your cries,
Echoing your sorrows under sprawling skies.
Though you've severed ties that once were tight,
My heart still aches for your plight.

Every day I whisper prayers into the breeze,
Hoping they'll find you and bring some ease.
For there's not a day my love has ceased,
Nor a moment I haven’t wished your sorrows released.
