As of late I have found myself asking this question of guys

Can you pray?
Can you have a conversation with God about me ?
Can you talk to the deeper part of my soul?
Can you pray me out of my darkness?
Can you pray?
Can you tell me of the stories and parables of old?
Can you look and me and my attention you hold?
Can you walk the righteous life and never let go?
Can you be the man to lead when my heart grows cold?
Can you pray?
No I am not talking saying just a few words,
I am not talking a superficial feeling.
Oh and I am not saying just a Lord help her.
But I need to know.
Can you pray?
Can you talk to the master and call forth the rain?
Can you speak words of wisdom in me when I won't say I'm in pain?
Can you look to my soul and hear it cry?
Can you capture my attention when I have a wondering eye?
Can you pray me through my storm?
Can you pray over me before it even forms?
Can you lift my heart from a troubled place ?
Can you pray that the smile never leaves my face?
Can you pray?
See when you approach someone that you want to claim,
You need to know why God chose their name.
You need to understand the process of change.
But most importantly above all I can say,
You most definitely need to know how to pray.
