Suffering children
Suffering children
Sit down and pray
But God doesn't hear
Those cries today.
The world should be doing
So much more
To end the Suffering
Of hunger and war.
Suffering children
I hear your cries
Within your souls
And through your eyes.
Life is not life
If your left alone
Hurt in-distress
Without a home.
Throughout the world
Children are born
To poverty and hate
Lies and scorn.
We should be ashamed
Of what we have done
For our children's lives
Shall not overcome.
If God heard you pray
Then where is he now
To cradle your wishes
To save you somehow.
Thou suffering children
For whom tears fall
Your life shall one day
Behold unto all.
