Getting up everyday is a miracle,
and I'm not spiritual,
but I do believe in energies,
sometimes I can feel them enter me,
feeling alone or stressed out,
can do more damage than any amount,
of physical pain,
you feel the depression and stress begin to drain,
you of your self worth,
now you feel like you don't belong on Earth,
I'm here to tell you you'll be okay,
as long as you make it through each day,
I know sometimes it gets hard,
no one will give you an award,
just for making it just being you,
sorry there's no awards for being true,
hate to try feels like it's worth nothing,
I'm here to tell you that the smallest good really means something,
but what exactly I'm not sure,
it's your life you have to conquer,
I know now what I never did,
it's just a bunch of grown up kids,
adults don't truly know wrong from right,
they just do and that's alright,
it takes time to learn,
for the things that we truly yearn,
as time goes by we soon forget,
that ruining a childhood can come with regret,
that we never got to do,
the things we truly wanted to,
know we're stuck in our nine to five,
some never truly feel alive,
this poem is long but not too much longer,
for the things you want are not much farther,
you just have to show you'll try,
get some of what you want before you die.
