Happy Valentine's Day and a sonnet for the day that comes by every year. Love, I tell you..........


Bright all the stars that shine, dark is the sky;

Why do I worry this love of mine, will find a way to die?

Hearts carved out on desks, passion scribbled on a hidden wall;

Words passed on somewhere, and then the wait for that call.

Meetings in dark corners, sweet deeds unseen;

Lost memories, and all those dream scenes.

Riding together, watching the wheels go round and round;

A sonnet, whilst kicking around on a piece of ground.

Gone are the letters penned in ink, crumpled notes that meant something;

Now flicking and swiping, an endless stream of meaningless nothing.

Living in online times now, and the ping of the app;

Love find its own way through the psychobabble rap.

The sun is the same in a relative way, its only you who’s to blame;

Shot to the heart, O’ Stupid – why give love a bad name!!!
