Shedding My Shadow
As I walk in this dark valley in my shadow I see,
The outline of the man I never wanted to be;
With his head down low and a hunch in his back,
He shuffles along like the scum smoken crack.
He's a got a chip on his shoulder and a pistol in hand,
He makes everybodies day worse with his constant demand,
There is no way he's a lover there's no way he is loved,
He just walks there beside me asking what I'm thinking of.
He shows not with his action and not of his soul
And acts like he's offended when told he's not whole.
There's nothing he's ever said that was ever "that real"
And so I let him die cause now I'm better than he can feel.
