#WritcoPoemPrompt16
The pages of my old book,
Hold my memories of yesterday,
Every smile, every tear,
Every person who came my way
Hold tales of animals, their curious looks,
A monkey once, with mischief in its eyes,
Stole a banana, but not my surprise.
A donkey stood near, with a laugh so deep,
Mocking the monkey’s quick little leap.
"Why so quick, my nimble friend?
The fruit will ripen; the fun will end."
A parrot chirped about,Tortoise, slow and wise, In slowness too, a treasure lies."
The peacock preened, its feathers spread wide,
A rainbow...
