Become the best of friends,
Though my heart still craved more.

You said you needed to ask me something.
I waited with bated breath

Fast Forward One Last Time

I lay in bed
Clutching my shirt like it was my heart
Like I could somehow push the pieces back together. 

My mind brought me back,
And I saw the kiss,
Heard the curses,
And felt the heartbreak.

How stupid could I get?..

Suddenly, I was back.
Back to that fateful day.

Your hair was dull,
Eyes showing only malice,
And your smile devilish.

And I realized.
